IAESTE Thailand----"a mesmerising experience"

Sitting alone in my small dormitory room i ponder upon the awesomeness of the time i had few months ago!.

MESMERIZING is what comes into mind, to define the experience i had in those days! the days when i had work but worked like i never have to complete it,the days when i used to party as if i was living my last breath, and the days where weekends meant getting drunk and party all night, the days when we used to meet a new guy every week and the days which always seemed to be flying.

i suppose this is not just my experience but it defines what we "the iaeste Thailand interns 2009" experienced through out our stay in Thailand.
A truly enchanting country with spell bounding landscape and equally beautiful culture! yes we experienced it and such was the experience that it will last for time immemorial into our hearts.
we ate,we traveled,we slept together, a group of friends all of different nationalities yet defining what is called as "unity in diversity".

i recall the time when we used sit for dinner eating some spicy stuff and then someone would ask "from which country you come from? and the answer started from one corner of the table saying "India,Germany,France,Serbia,Scotland,Portugal,Korea,Austria,Mexico,Brazil,
Romania,..." leaving a big question mark over the poor fellow.

i recall the weekends when everybody would come to bangkok and we used to party and party hard! all day long,be it Khao sarn road,Sukhumvit,RCA,or the all night spicy club,it was memorable, not just because we partied but also we knew that one day everybody will go back to their home, never to meet again!
i recall those taxi rides, when we always used to struggle for reaching a place, trying to explain the driver something which he never understood.5 people in one taxi, sitting one on top of each other and yet enjoying the ride!

i remember days when we used to go to a beach and just relax in the lap of the nature, all naked yet happy!
i reminisce the seven eleven coffee which used to delight me to the core, and the potato chips that i always had for my breakfast.

it was in those times that we discovered the real importance of Facebook, a unique web application, that lets you connect to your friends when you are at work, the work which we never had, the work which everyone did with their laptops, and the kind employer who would pay even if you skip the mondays and tuesdays travelling!
all in all things changed and time changed, and here i am sitting in my room, staring at my wall which gives me a glimpse of thailand everyday and suddenly realising that i have my lecture classes to attend!!
i guess these words are just not my thoughts, but represents every intern who cherished the moment of his stay in Thailand with a hope that someday the hand of destiny would bring us together again and their would be a loud " cheers!!" with Singha beer.
last but not the least thankyou all thai friends from iaeste thailand for helping us,you made a deep impression on our hearts.....

adio`s

Goodbyes are not forever.
Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean we'll miss you
Until we meet again!
